Blues on the Rideau Series at The Cove Inn, Westport

Terry GillepsieA last call reminder that the famous BLUES ON THE RIDEAU SERIES @ THE COVE INN, WESTPORT kicks off the 2012/13 Season – our 8th year! – this Friday, OCTOBER 26 with the TERRY GILLESPIE BAND and THERE ARE STILL A FEW TICKETS AVAILABLE.

Aquatic Weed Control for your Waterfront

WeedRollerThis past winter, having been a mild one and the low level of water in our lakes means early and heavy invasive seaweed problems in all of our lakes, resulting in problems with weeds getting tangled up in boat propellers and personal water craft motors, not to mention the unsightly views from your shore.

You don’t want to use harmful chemicals and the use of weed removal products such as rakes can be troublesome, backbreaking and very labor intensive.

There are some options for you to consider.
WeedRoller option for a weed-free beach/swimming area and the – AquaSweep to get rid of the muck build-up.
We also carry other options such as mats, cutters and raking systems.

Imagine no more weeds in your swimming and docking area! It can happen.
Imagine getting rid of muck and silt, it can also happen.

Give us a call to discuss your aquatic weed removal needs

Westport Ontario – An Exciting Place to Visit!

Thank you to everyone who posted their favourite things to do in Westport back in August. We had many responses and based on the ideas presented we have a surprise coming to everyone next summer!

I am pleased to announce the winner. Everyone posted so many great posts!
The winner is Tina & Chloe. Tina & Chloe wrote:

“Our favourite thing to do is to browse the shops. Our favourite being the Rock Shop where my daughter (6) is fascinated and the owner indulges her with all the info on the rocks, we then like to relax at the Cove. Although last time was not so relaxing as there was sudden summer storm that came on suddenly throwing rain on us mid starters. Just as we went indoors a gust of wind blew the parasols down the street. What an adventure! We loved it! My daughter always talks about it when we go back to the Cove – I think she kind of wishes we could have the drama over again. – TC”

Tina was very excited to have won and is excited to have an excuse to return to the Cove for dinner.

Thank you again to all wrote and generously expressed their favourite things to do in Westport.
