St. Edwards Christian Women’s League is having a Christmas Craft Bazaar on December 6 from 9am-1:30pm in the St. Edward’s gymnasium. You’ll find artisan crafted Christmas decorations and fresh baked goodies.

Saturday, December 6th 2014- Westport Christmas Farmers’ Market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Rideau Vista Public School (9921 County Road 42), Westport. Come out to the picturesque Village of Westport and find that one of a kind gift for that special someone on your list. The Christmas Market features local chefs, bakers, crafters, and artisans who will be showcasing a wide variety of unique handmade gift ideas. The Old Stone Mill and the Old Town Hall will be open as part of Lower Beverley Lake Park’s “Celebrating the Season” which features in excess of 75,000 Christmas lights. The candles will be burning in the Old Stone Mill with guides tours at 5:00 pm and 7:30 pm. The Old Town Hall will be open to provide some warmth. Come to the Old Stone Mill every Saturday this month until Saturday, December 20 and enjoy our seasonal activities. There will be caroling and of course lighted windows and Christmas decorations.
Six Beautiful Westport homes will open their doors on December 4 between 10:00am and 3:00pm for your visiting enjoyment. Come and visit these lovely homes all decked out in their Christmas finery and displaying wonderful items available at many of Westport’s businesses. Enjoy light refreshments and meet these superb hostesses: Judith Allen, Debbie Bird, Angela Elster (Stepping Stone), Cathy Hay, Lori Thronton and the Knox Presbyterian Church.

It’s that time of year again, come to the vendor and craft show at the North Crosby Community Centre in Westport November 30th, 9am-3pm. There will be a variety of local artisans and quality goods for sale as well as local vendors and commercial goods.
Whether you are starting your christmas shopping or just finishing, there is guaranteed to be fabulous treats fro the ones you love and those you’re thinking about.
Tea, coffee and goodies will be served by the girls PFC U15 Soccer Team. Proceeds from this event will be donated to the North Leeds Toy Drive.

The great Toronto band – 2X Juno Award and multiple Maple Blues Award winners – FATHEAD www.fathead.biz returned to BOTR @ The Cove last Friday – the 4th visit since the Series started – and once again showed why they are one of the crowd favourites. This time around they were missing their fabulous lead singer JOHN MAYS who unfortunately is going through some tough medical issues right now but the lovely and talented MISS ROBIN BANK$ stepped in as a Special Guest and did a superb job. It was a full house and a happy one – the dance floor remained packed all night (as always at BOTR @ The Cove) and both FATHEAD and ROBIN sold a bunch of their new CD’s – “Fatter Than Ever” and “Modern Classics”.
$600 was raised – plus some food and additional cash donations – for the WESTPORT FOOD BANK. The audience also stepped up big time with $300 in contributions to the HELP JOHN MAYS OUT Fund with everyone sending their love and best wishes to John for a full and speedy recovery. BOTR @ THE COVE takes a break over Christmas but returns with a roar in 2015 with the mighty JACK DE KEYZER & his band on JANUARY 23. Tickets are already selling fast for this night so call and reserve now. And BOTR tickets make a great CHRISTMAS GIFT for the Blues lover on your List!
