Pigs and Pie Fall Fly-in

11

October 08, Westport ON (CRL2): COPA Flight 56 Annual “Pigs and Pies” Fly-In / Drive-In lunch hosted by the Rideau Lakes Flying Club.

This is our fall large-scale fly-in event. View the planes and enjoy the Westport hospitality. Planes come from all over Ontario, Quebec, and the Northeast States to the Westport Aerodrome. On the May 21 long weekend we held the Spring version and had 52 planes arrive – very exciting.

It’s a great way to really experience the joy of flight. People can come to the field and see a wide variety of planes arrive and takeoff. Lots of time to walk the flightline, see the planes and talk with the pilots.

We also will be providing our famous “Pigs” (i.e. Kudrinko’s fabulous sausages) plus local “Pies” made fresh just down the road – a wonderful scrumptious combination. Sausages and pie served from 11:00 until 14:00 (donations accepted to cover costs). Floatplane pickup from main dock in Westport. Fun for the whole family.

All to be had for a donation to the Club. Again, everyone in the community is welcome.
