Hooks & Books: a needle crafting group

 

Grab your “sticks”, your project, and head to the Elgin Community Hall to share your enthusiasm for hand work & reading. All ages, abilities, and types of needle craft projects are welcome. Space limited to 15 people, please wear a mask and physical distance.

Wednesday Weekly Washer Toss

 

Head on over to Upper Rideau Legion 542’s weekly Washer Toss. It’s a great way to break up the hump day blahs with a blast of fun with great company. Everyone welcome with no experience necessary. $3 entry fee and the event starts at 7pm every Wednesday!

Pack up the family and head down to Foley Mountain Conservation Area to explore, adventure, play, and learn in the forest! All ages of children welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. Blues on the Rideau with HOROJO TRIO

 

The Series will feature Duos & Trios playing great “sit-and-listen” Blues. Full COVID safety protocol will be TOP PRIORITY at all times. 50 person capacity (half the normal) with 6’ distancing between tables. 12” distancing between the artists and the nearest audience member.

Fee: $70.

Performances will include a delicious full course meal, the show and Door Prizes with proceeds going to support different local charities – all for only $70 pp (plus HST).

Note: To date the BOTR @ The Cove Series has raised over $74K for local Westport charities.

ADVANCE RESERVATIONS are required for all Shows and we encourage everyone to book ahead to avoid disappointment – especially with the reduced seating capacity.

Rideau Tole & Decorative Artists

Members paint on wood, fabric, glass, paper, tin and canvas with acrylics and water based oils, use spackling compounds, interesting textures and different brushes and stroke techniques.
