Skate the Lake
The most awaited Skate the Lake Ninth Annual International Speed Skating Event will be held this Saturday, January 26, 2013. The popular race will take place at Big Rideau Lake on a 1k oval and is open to all skaters.
The Registration for the event will start at 2:00 until 6:00 PM on Jan. 25th and must be completed at the day of the event. Below is the opening schedule for the weekend race . Please check regularly for any update:

3:00 PM Free Kids 5K 3:30 PM
For skaters not belonging to a registered skating club, an amount of $ 5.00 will be charged to cover insurance. To complete the registration, participants should check Hanna Park, the registration trailer, to pick up the race package.

2:00 PM 25k & 50K Winners
4:30 PM Relay Race, Special Olympics & Kids Race Winners
Enjoy the traditional canteen fare and if you want to see great fireworks, a firework display is scheduled at dusk.
