August Summer Programs at Foley Mountain Conservation Area

Foley MountainFREE MORNING PROGRAMS (10 to 11:30 a.m.) — Free with a park day or annual pass. Children must be accompanied by an adult for all morning programs. Meet at the Interpretive Centre unless otherwise specified.

FULL DAY PROGRAMS (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) — The cost for these full care programs is $35 per child and $30 for an additional family member registered in the same session. Programs are for children aged 6 – 12 and pre-registration is required.

NEW HALF DAY KINDER CAMP (9 to 11:30 a.m.) – Enjoy this new camp for only $15 per child and $12 for an additional family member registered in the same session. Programs are for children aged 4 – 6.

INTERPRETIVE CENTRE (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) Experience the children’s nature discovery centre and get local tourism information from the experienced RVCA staff from Monday – Friday.

Thursday August 1, 2013 – HALF DAY KINDER CAMP NEW Kinders in the Woods: 9–11:30 a.m Children from the ages of 4 – 6 years old will enjoy this camp that includes a morning full of nature exploration, crafts, and fun!

Tuesday August 6, 2013 – FULL DAY PROGRAM (for campers 10 – 14 years old only) NEW Outdoor Adventurers: Experience the outdoors, adventure, sports, and summer recreation in a whole new way in our NEW program! You will love hiking, orienteering, wilderness survival, and much more fun!

Thursday August 8, 2013 – FREE MORNING PROGRAM Pond Life: 10–11:30 a.m It’s a pond party! Explore the beaver pond and meet some interesting invertebrates and other curious critters.
(Meet at Group Camping Area)

Nature Explorers Day Camp Ages 6 – 12
 Monday August 12 to Friday August 16, 2013 
9 a.m. – 4 p.m. (Pre-registration required)
 Join our outdoor educators for a week full of fun in the forest for children aged 6 – 12!
• Activities include nature-based exploration, games, crafts, and more with qualified and experienced outdoor education staff.
• Cost is $175 per child or $150 for an additional family member.

Tuesday August 20, 2013 – FULL DAY PROGRAM Foley’s Forest Detectives: Ever want to be a detective? Hone your investigative skills as you investigate all things natural and animal survival.

Thursday August 22, 2013 – FREE MORNING PROGRAM Outdoor Skills: 10–11:30 a.m Want to learn how to survive in the wilderness? Learn how to build shelters, cook outdoors, and more!

Thursday July 18, 2013 – FREE MORNING PROGRAM Orienteering and GPS: 10–11:30 a.m Lose yourself in the ways of map and compass! Discover the basics of map and compass work and navigate through our orienteering course.
