Walk right in and say hello. The doors will be open all over Westport and Rideau Lakes on Saturday, Sept. 19.

You may want to make a list and tick off the “doors” as you go. You might also want to begin right at 10 a.m. when they open, because there are lots of them.

Doors Open, part of a province-wide heritage event, will include, in this area, doors in Chaffey’s Lock, Delta, Elgin, Lombardy, Morton, Newboro, Portland, and Westport. Transport yourself to Australia on Friday, Sept. 25. It’s easy. You only have to go to the Newboro Community Hall.

Glenn Foster will give an “Australian Concert” in aid of Newboro’s United Church’s “Save Our Sanctuary” fund. The concert begins at 7 p.m. Freewill donations will be greatly appreciated.
